Funky Mid-Century Lamps

Just like mid-century modern furniture, mid-century lamps have a “certain look” that often includes geometric shapes, pottery or wood bases, and even a space age or atomic feel. Some lamps, like Herman Millers Bubble Lamp are fairly simple, but I’ve come to love the more outrageous ones. Can I share a few with you? Ok, here goes:

Ceramic Base

I just love mid-century ceramics and the lamps made from them are no exception.

Fabulous Shades

Oh my, this shade is fantastic. The stitching is very 1950’s. This lamp is not for the faint of heart.

Wooden Bases

These lamps look very modern in today’s homes without being too kitchy if you know what I mean.

Atomic Era

This lamp just has it all, enough said.

This lamp is definitely kitschy but in the best possible way.

Ready to go on the hunt for a retro lamp? I know I am - I’ll let you know what I find. In the meantime, here are few more on my Pinterest Board Funky Mid-Century Lamps.
