Sarasota Celebrates Mid-Century Architect Paul Rudolph

We are very fortunate living in Sarasota to have many examples of Mid-Century Architecture including those by one of my favorites, Paul Rudolph. Mr. Rudolph (who would have been 100 last year) is one of the great 20th Century American architects and early pioneer of the Sarasota School of Architecture Movement. I have toured many of his structures here in Sarasota and if you are a fan of mid-century design, you don't want to miss seeing them if you are here in the area. Many are easily found on Lido Key, Casey Key and Siesta Key.

Here are a few of his own drawings of some of his designs:

If you can't make it to Sarasota, you can still look at some of his homes in a beautiful book called "Paul Rudolph, The Florida Houses."

Hope to see you in Sarasota soon!
